The car is powered by 248 solar panels embedded in clear polymer. The panels will only be available in one color: black. Sono uses commercial off-the-shelf components to create the vehicles, which reduces costs and the need for paint shops and stamping facilities. The company intends selling the vehicles directly online to consumers.
